An Ecosmart fireplace is a considered purchase. These are some common questions that we’re asked most often.
Will it actually heat my room?
Yes. EcoSmart Fire’s indoor fireplaces are ventless, so the heat stays in the room instead of escaping up a chimney or flue. The amount of warmth depends entirely on how well your space matches the burner you choose.
To choose the right burner, match it to your room size. Smaller burners suit compact rooms around 20 m², mid-range burners comfortably heat spaces of 40-60 m², and larger configurations work for open-plan interiors. Burner selection also affects burn duration; most models run 7–14 hours, depending on flame height, so consider both your heating needs and intended use.
Do I need building work?
Not with a freestanding fireplace. It’s designed for the space you already have: placed, secured and able to be used straight away, with no chimney or flue required. Many models need only minimal assembly.
Can it be part of a renovation or new build?
Yes. Built-in inserts slot into place, and your builder or designer finishes around them in the non-combustible material you choose.
Can I use it outside?
Yes, our bioethanol fire tables need no permanent installation, so you can place them where you like, and our glass cover plates turn them into an ordinary table when they’re not lit.
